Artwood has developed a new line of high performance �TOP METERING DEVICES� for ZIGZAG and other flat bed machines. These units ACCURATELY dispense elastic, tapes, and other roll-type trimmings that are up to 2-1/2" wide.Feeding ratios are easily adjusted by turning the �micro-adjustable� control, conveniently placed to the operators right.The calibrations are located at eye level and can be viewed at a glance. These units are quick and easy to install. Drilling and tapping are NOT NECESSARY as the variable ratio transmission is simply mounted through the cover plate mounting screw holes (see photo). A cutout is provided in the top bracket for access to the oil plugs. The roller drive shaft is mounted up out of the operators way allowing sufficient work clearance under the head. These metering devices come complete with TAPE RACK and DISCS, BELT GUARD, TIMING BELT, and HANDWHEEL ADAPTOR at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE!!! Flatbed metering devices are also available for: Brother zig-zags, Union Special 51000, 52000, 54000 and 57000 class machines, as well as Kansai Special.

AVP17 - Dual Intermittent Feed

This unit dispenses elastic up to 1-1/2" wide and can be easily installed on all types of overlock machines. The AVP17 has two ratio setting points and can be used in the following three modes: This feature is extremely useful when setting elastic to legs of swimwear where different ratios are required at the front and back. Set the first ratio required and then the second. When the operator needs additional shirring on the elastic she depresses the foot pedal and instantly the unit switches to the second setting. When her foot is removed the unit returns to the first setting. Obtain both increased production as well as quality. Two screw-controls accurately meter the feeding ratios and can be locked into position. An idler roller raises when changing ratios to take-up any slack on the elastic so a constant tension is maintained. Tape reels, timing belt, mounting hardware and pulleys are included. Handwheel adaptors are available (at extra charge) and must be ordered separately. Please specify machine make and model number. An additional swing-away elastic guide is also available. This guide keeps the elastic close to the foot, where needed and easily swings away for re-threading. The guide is mounted where the standard edge guide is located, again, at extra cost. Pricing

Adjusting the screw-type speed control on the Zero-Max Speed Reducer can quickly set the feeding ratio. This unit can be easily mounted by changing the Handwheel or Adaptor (not included) and bolting the Standpipe and Tape Rack Assembly to the tabletop.
